MNS of Azerbaijan: customer of Dink's murder was never trained in the country

The International Herald Tribune newspaper asserts in the article on the murder of Armenian journalist Hrant Dink in Turkey that Yasin Haial, the customer of the editor's murder, underwent training in Chechens' camps in Azerbaijan. Yasin Haial, who served a year in prison for exploding a McDonald's restaurant in 2004, had been trained in a Chechens' camp in Azerbaijan, where he learned how to make bombs, the edition writes.

According to Arif Babaev, head of the Centre for Public Relations of the Ministry of National Security (MNS), Azerbaijan had never had any Chechens' camps, and everything that the newspaper has published is an obvious invention, the correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot" has informed.

Meanwhile today, a meeting in memory of Hrant Dink was held in the Freedom Square of Yerevan. The meeting that was opened with mourning prayer for the victim was organized by joint efforts of the capital's administration and political and public organizations of Armenia. By various estimates, it was attended by 4-6 thousand persons who held Hrant Dink's photos in their hands and posters with the following words "Turkey, is this your way to Europe?"

The "Caucasian Knot" has already informed that Hrant Dink was killed on Friday January 19 at about 4:00 p.m. local time (5:00 p.m. Moscow time) in Istanbul by three headshots. He was shot dead when he came out of the editorial office.
