Social network users criticize Kadyrov family for violating mask regime

At the creative party organized by the Ministry of Culture of Chechnya, the wife and two daughters of Ramzan Kadyrov were without medical masks, although the authorities demand to wear them even in cars, Instagram users were outraged.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 2, Magomed Daudov, the Chairman of the Chechen Parliament, once again threatened residents of the region with high fines for non-compliance with coronavirus prevention measures. At the same time, Daudov himself and Chechen officials generally neglect the mask regime, Instagram users have pointed out.

On December 24, Grozny hosted a creative party of the poetess, Anna Egoyan. The party was attended by "the first lady of the Chechen Republic", Medni Kadyrova, as well as Aishat and Khadizhat Kadyrov, says the news report by the "Grozny" ChGTRK (Chechen State TV and Radio Company).

In their comments to the post about Ms Egoyan's creative party on the Instagram, social network users pointed to the inconsistency of Chechen authorities regarding the mask regime. "Where are their masks? Why, when you drive your own car, you have to wear a mask, but at a concert where there are a lot of people, you shouldn't? Where is the logic?" the user with the nickname my_life_14_17 was outraged.

The user svetikaleksis has complained that during her trip to Chechnya, she faced strict demands for wearing masks. "[At the creative party] everyone was without masks! We drove with our family to Chechnya – naturally, in the car we were without masks. They stopped us as if they saw some kind of recidivists. And at the party they all sit close to each other – not even [at] 1.5 meters of social distance," the user has written.
