Yerevan protesters complain about policemen's tough actions

The total number of activists detained on December 24, during the rally of Nikol Pashinyan's opponents has reached 94. The protesters treat the police's actions as particularly harsh.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that an action has been held in front of the Armenian government building since December 22, demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan.

On December 24, in Republic Square, policemen detained 17 activists for disobeying the lawful police's demand, Zarzand Gabrielyan, an employee of the Police Information and Public Relations Department, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. During the whole day, 94 protesters were detained, he has added.

In Republic Square, near the Marriott Hotel, activists clashed with policemen, as a result, law enforcers took a number of disobeying protesters to the police station.

The policemen behaved "especially harshly"; one of the protesters was injured during the arrest. "Most likely, there is a special instruction from above. But this will not stop us; Nikol Pashinyan must resign," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has translated the words of a supporter of the opposition.
