Chechnya is among top three in number of new COVID-19 cases in NCFD

Over the past 24 hours, 745 people infected with coronavirus were registered in the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD). 222 of them are in the Stavropol Territory; in Dagestan, COVID-19 was confirmed in 101 people. Chechnya, where the smallest increase had been recorded earlier, takes the third place with 91 cases.

The today's figure for Chechnya is a record for at least a month, according to the data on the "Stopkoronavirus.rf" website. Moreover, there is a gradual increase: on October 27, 10 patients with COVID-19 were detected in Chechnya; on November 1 – 13 cases; on November 7 – 29 cases; on November 15 – 54 cases; and on November 20 – 69 cases.

The total number of COVID-19 cases for the entire time of the pandemic in the NCFD has reached 90,963. Most of them are also in the Stavropol Territory – 26,579 cases; Dagestan is in second place with 18,439 cases. In Kabardino-Balkaria, 12,253 residents were infected; in Karachay-Cherkessia – 11,782; in Ingushetia – 9079; in North Ossetia – 8977; and in Chechnya – 3854 cases were registered.

The total number of deaths from COVID-19 for the entire time of the pandemic in the NCFD reached 1909. Most of the deaths – 910 – were registered in Dagestan; in the Stavropol Territory 520 people died; in Kabardino-Balkaria – 201; in Ingushetia – 107; in North Ossetia – 76; in Chechnya – 61; and in Karachay-Cherkessia – 34 deaths were registered.
