Widow of Inal Djabiev from South Ossetia, criticizes examination conclusion about his death

Inal Djabiev, a resident of South Ossetia, whose photo with traces of beatings had caused strong public outrage, died of heart failure amid cancellation of narcotic drug. This is the conclusion made by forensic experts, the General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) asserts. Djabiev's widow has refused to accept this conclusion.

On August 28, after the death of Inal Djabiev, detained within the case of an attempted assassination of the Interior Minister, Igor Naniev, photos appeared on the Internet with traces of severe beatings on Inal's body. His death was followed by resignation of Naniev, Prime Minister, Erik Pukhaev, and the entire government.

"The commission has concluded that Djabiev suffered a sudden heart failure on the background of withdrawal symptoms, that is, his cancelled narcotic drug," the "Sputnik Ossetia" reports.

The GPO has noted that "Djabiev's death from the cancellation of the narcotic drug does not weaken the criminal responsibility of the law enforcers," suspected of beating Djabiev up, and after new interrogations they will be charged.
