Combat engineers find over 770 UXO items in Stepanakert

Since the beginning of shelling attacks, rescuers of Nagorno-Karabakh have found 673 unexploded ordinance (UXO) items, including missiles and bombs, on the streets of Stepanakert, and other 100 UXO items have been found by the Centre for Humanitarian Demining.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the fighting in the conflict zone began on September 27, and at midday on October 10, a ceasefire agreement in the conflict zone entered into force. However, the parties continued accusing each other of violating the ceasefire.

"Those bombs and shells remained here as a result of the shelling attacks on the capital by the Azerbaijani armed forces in the period from September 27 to October 12. All the detected UXO items are heavy missiles and shock and cluster bombs manufactured in Turkey and Israel," reported Unan Tadevosyan, an employee of the Service for Emergencies of Nagorno-Karabakh.

Unan Tadevosyan has also stated that combat engineers take the UXO items out of the city and destroy them.
