Azerbaijani MoD reports about shot-down Armenian drone

In the area of Shamkir, air defence units of Azerbaijan have destroyed an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Armenian armed forces.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the situation on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan escalated on July 12. According to the Armenian side, clashes were provoked by an attempt to break through the border committed by Azerbaijan. In turn, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan accused Armenia of attempting to attack positions of the Azerbaijani troops. During the confrontation, unmanned aerial vehicles were also used. So, on July 16, the Azerbaijani MoD reported about a shot-down Armenian X-55 UAV.

On September 20, the Azerbaijani air defence units destroyed a tactical UAV of the Armenian armed forces in the Shamkir area, the "Sputnik-Azerbaijan" reports with reference to a post of the Azerbaijani MoD on Facebook.

The remains of the destroyed UAV have not yet been found, and searches are underway, the "haqqin.az" reports.
