Advisor to Abkhazian President announces his resignation because of Irma Inashvili's visit
Lasha Sakaniya decided to leave the post of the advisor to the President of Abkhazia, since he organized a visit to the Gali District of Irma Inashvili, Vice-Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, and that visit provoked discontent in the Abkhazian society. The organization "Aruaa" raised the question of the resignation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia and the Secretary of the Security Council.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 18, Irma Inashvili, the leader of the "Alliance of Patriots of Georgia" Party visited Abkhazia, and her visit caused discontent of the opposition. The organization "Aruaa" demanded from the President of Abkhazia to dismiss his advisor Lasha Sakaniya, who organized the Irma Inashvili's visit. Lasha Sakaniya asserted that the visit of Irma Inashvili was not of a political nature, and no negotiations were conducted with her. Meanwhile, Irma Inashvili herself explained that she had arrived in the Gali District to donate an icon to the local church.
Temur Nadaraya, one of the leaders of the "Aruaa", a public organization of veterans of the Georgian-Abkhaz war, explained that the "Aruaa" considered the crossing of the border by Irma Inashvili as a violation of the law, the "Ekho Kavkaza" reports.
"There is a visa regime between our republic and Georgia ... Irma Inashvili has in Georgia the status of a veteran of the Georgian-Abkhaz war, and she acted as a journalist against the political system of the Republic of Abkhazia," Temur Nadaraya notes.
