Head of South-Ossetian MIA comes under fire in his service car

In Tskhinvali, a service car of Igor Naniev, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of South Ossetia, was shelled; no one was injured. Law enforcers are looking for the attackers.

According to the MIA, at about 11 p.m. Moscow time on August 17, Naniev's service car was shelled from a pistol from an abandoned house near the Moskovsky Micro-District in the northern part of Tskhinvali, the republic's capital.

One of three bullets hit the car door from the driver's side; nobody suffered, the TASS writes today, August 18, with reference to Tarzan Kokoity, a deputy head of the South-Ossetian MIA.

According to Igor Naniev, the car in which he was travelling came under fire, but no one was wounded, adds the edition.

The attack was committed in June 8 Street. To detain the attackers, the republic has announced the "Perekhvat" (Interception) Plan, the "Sputnik-South Ossetia" reports with reference to a republic's law enforcement source.
