Rector of wounded Islamic Institute operated on in Karachayevo-Cherkessia

Today, Ismail Bostanov, rector of the Islamic Institute, has undergone an emergency surgery in the city hospital of Cherkessk (Karachayevo-Cherkessia).

Surgeons extracted a combat bullet out of the body of the Moslem churchman, which had injured him during the robbery of his household. Earlier physicians supposed that Mr. Bostanov got a gutter wound of the hip. However, within these four days the processes have started indicating the presence of a foreign body in the organism.

The administration of the Islamic Institute has reported that after the surgery the rector has regained consciousness and feels fine. While the relatives of the victim have noted that as of today, the law enforcement bodies have failed to achieve any success in investigating the crime.

Ismail Bostanov and his family were attacked in the evening of last Friday, December 15. The relatives of the victims do not relate the crime with manifestations of manifestations of religious extremism in Karachayevo-Cherkessia.
