In Ingushetia, believers modestly celebrate Eid al-Adha holiday

Residents of Ingushetia could not afford to buy meat on the holiday of Eid al-Adha because of financial difficulties, since prices for meat increased significantly before the holiday, believers reported.

Eid al-Adha is a sacrifice holiday in memory of the decision of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son. This is one of the two main Muslim holidays, and it is celebrated 70 days after the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

In Ingushetia, believers wore no masks at the prayer on the Eid al-Adha holiday. No other precaution measures were taken in connection with the spread of the coronavirus infection.

Most of the residents of Ingushetia interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent said that they celebrated the holiday modestly this year.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that on July 31, in Dagestan, Chechnya, and the Stavropol Territory, not all believers came to mosques wearing masks and keeping social distance, despite the sanitary security measures.
