Giorgi Gabuniya turns to Putin live on air

Giorgi Gabuniya, a journalist for the "Mtavari Arkhi" Georgian TV Channel, who spoke obscene words about the Russian president a year ago, has again addressed Vladimir Putin in Russian by using rude expressions.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in July 2019, Giorgi Gabuniya spoke rudely about Putin on the air of the "Rustavi-2" TV Channel. Then, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, reacted to this, saying that top Georgian officials must apologize to Putin and Russia. He also expressed threats against the Georgian journalist.

On June 21, Giorgi Gabuniya again insulted Vladimir Putin on air of his "Post Factum" programme. First, in the Georgian language, he stated that he was a "speech soldier" and, being in the battlefield, uses his weapons – words. Gabuniya asked whether these weapons were too heavy and rude when on July 7, 2019, he attacked Putin with obscene language, and added: "Did Putin himself spare weapons for Georgia? The only thing he didn't was dropping a nuclear bomb on our land," the "Georgia Online" writes.

At the end of his monologue, the journalist expressed his confidence that most Georgians think of Putin the same way as he does. Gabuniya said that "something still needs to be added ...", after which he switched into Russian and rudely addressed the Russian president.
