Ten people arrested for two months each after Kullar protests

By a court judgement, all the ten suspects of attacking policemen at riots in Kullar have been arrested for two months each. A total of 541 people remain on the border with Azerbaijan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 15, Azerbaijani citizens staged a protest rally, which grew into clashes with law enforcers. Ten Azerbaijanis and four law enforcers were injured.

After the Kullar protests, ten Azerbaijani citizens were taken to custody for two months; they are accused of using violence against policemen and intentionally damaging others' property, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told at the Magaramkent District Court.

Now, there are 541 Azerbaijani citizens staying in the territory of Derbent and the Derbent District. All of them are waiting for the border opening. Another corridor for crossing the border will be opened on June 23, Gani Panaev, the spokesman of the Azerbaijani Diaspora in Derbent, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
