Advertising of authorities' help during epidemic taken sceptically in Chechnya

The Chechen TV has posted a video with a local resident's gratitude to Kadyrov Foundation. Social network users doubt the scale of the Foundation's charity and complained about the deficit of livelihood.

The above gratitude video was posted on May 27 on the page of the "Grozny" ChGTRK (Chechen State TV and Radio Company) in its page on the Instagram.

In the video, a man in the Chechen language makes a statement to the camera: "I am Arbi Askhabov, a resident of Tsotsi-Yurt. [...] They helped me with money, foodstuffs and drinks – with all I needed. May the Almighty be pleased with the Akhmat-Haji (Kadyrov) Foundation, Aimani-Haji (Aimani Kadyrova, Ramzan Kadyrov's mother, is the president of the Foundation, – note of the "Caucasian Knot") and our Padishah Ramzan (Kadyrov)," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has translated the local resident's statement.

By 0:55 a.m. Moscow time today, the video got 128,387 pageviews and 34 comments.

Social network users have complained that they had received no help from the republic's authorities. "For two months, I'm without money and food. [...] Every time, you transfer so many millions, but who gets them?! Personally, I don't see you in my area, although I live in a city," the user muslimsin99999 has commented.

"Let them at least help us; we've also been staying at home for three months. Nobody came to us; there's no work; there's no pension – what should we do and what do we eat?" the commentator doktar9534 has asked.
