People in Krasnodar is seriously concerned about safety of foreign students

One of these days, Krasnodar hosted a roundtable on the topic "Adequate Methods to Counteract Xenophobia. Safety of Foreign Students."

"We put a task to find out how it is possible to prevent attacks on foreign students across the whole of Russia," Stasya Denisova, organizer of the roundtable, member of the "ETNIKA" Youth Group for Tolerance, a Krasnodar public organization, told the correspondent "Caucasian Knot."

The report prepared by the "ETNIKA" Youth Group pays basic attention to cases of attacks and assassinations of foreign pupils motivated by hatred and discrimination.

The question asked by the correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot" why the victims would not disclose their names and whereabouts, and would not tell publicly about what happened to them, was replied that the majority of the victims scared xenophobic manifestations from the militiamen themselves. It is known that the majority of illegal emigrants in the territory of Russia are the natives of the Caucasus. As to Krasnodar, the emigrants there are basically Armenians, Georgians and Azerbaijanis.

We remind you that the recent years have witnessed a rapid growth of murders among non-Russian nationalities. The situation has caused a serious concern among human rights activists and public figures in Russia and abroad.
