Chechen woman publicly repents her address to Ramzan Kadyrov for help

In the village of Gekhi, the Tepsurkaeva family should not ask for help from Ramzan Kadyrov, but should feed from their own garden, states the head of the Urus-Martan District on the air of the "Grozny" TV Company. Zara Tepsurkaeva admitted that she should not have addressed the leader of Chechnya for help.

At the beginning of the story prepared by the "Grozny" ChGTRK (Chechen State TV and Radio Company), journalists presented an audio appeal from Zara Tepsurkaeva, a resident of the Gekhi village in the Urus-Martan District, to Ramzan Kadyrov, made through WhatsApp. "I cannot buy food for a whole week at once. Ramzan Akhmatovich, what should I do with my family?" said the woman in her audio appeal as translated from the Chechen language by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. On April 14, the woman's appeal was broadcasted on the air of the "Grozny" TV Channel.

Valid Abdureshidov, the head of the Urus-Martan District administration, visited the Tepsurkaeva family and said that they should be engaged in gardening to solve their food problems. "You have about 0.1 hectares of land. The padishah (Ramzan Kadyrov, – note of the 'Caucasian Knot') is not obliged to feed you. <...> Is it really impossible to plant [vegetables] in own garden and live decently?" Valid Abdureshidov addressed Zara Tepsurkaeva in the Chechen language.

Zara Tepsurkaeva repented her address to Ramzan Kadyrov for help. "The padishah helps everyone. I believed that he might help me as well. And I made [the appeal] without thinking it over. I shouldn't have [done that]," said Zara Tepsurkaeva as translated from the Chechen language by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. Despite their statements, the officials still handed over a food aid package to the Tepsurkaeva family, the "Grozny" TV Channel reports in its story.
