Kadyrov apologizes for harsh words about social network critics
The head of Chechnya has admitted that he had lost self-control, when cursing opponents of the border agreement with Ingushetia. He has apologized to the elders of both republics. Instagram users had criticized the Kadyrov's emotional statement.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 9, Ramzan Kadyrov expressed his indignation at negative comments in social networks and asked the authors thereof to leave the country. In particular, he rudely criticized opponents of the 2018 Chechen-Ingush border agreement. "Those ten persons who write on the Internet that we are not brothers with Ingushes, go to ... Chechens and Ingushes have always been brothers," Kadyrov has stated.
The signing of the above border agreement triggered massive protests in Ingushetia.
Kadyrov has admitted that he had spoken about the problem of the Chechen-Ingush border by yielding to emotions. "I have to apologize for my words. Not to those who are trying to quarrel Chechens and Ingushes, but to respected people ... I apologize to the elders of Chechnya and Ingushetia, as well as to the Mufti of Chechnya," the "Chechnya Today" has quoted Kadyrov as saying.
The border issue is closed, the head of Chechnya has emphasized, explaining that he was bogged down by social network commentators, who treated the Chechen help to Ingushetia as an attempt to pay off for a border revision.
Earlier, Kadyrov repeatedly threatened his opponents in social networks, calling them "button heroes."
