Armenian Church has been accused of Karabah conflict unleashing

?The Armenian Church has played an important role in Karabah conflict unleashing and now as before does not revise its stand?, the Head of the Spiritual Administration of Moslems of the Caucasus Sheyhulislam Allakhshukyur Pasha-zade declared on April 17 during the meeting with the Patriarchy Varfolomey the First, who had official visit to Baku.

According to the words of Allakhshukyur Pasha-zade, Azerbaijan is a multinational and multiconfessional country. He pointed out a creation of equal conditions for all confessions and atmosphere of tolerance in the country. Pasha-zade said that the same conditions had been made for the Armenian religious community too, however, being instigated by the Armenian Church, it had taken a hostile position towards the Azerbaijanis. At the same time the sheikh informed the guest of the efforts that Azerbaijan, Georgian and Russian religious leaders put to adjust the conflicts in the region amicably.

The patriarchy thanked sheikh for the reception and regarded it as an example of toleration. Scientific and technological achievements cut down borders and ?miniaturized the world?, that increased the need for peace and consent between nations. In his opinion, dialog and cooperation between religions are being dictated by the time. ?Time to create good is infinite?, the patriarchy said. He expressed hope that this was his first but not last visit to Azerbaijan.
