Awarding a medal to Kadyrov's daughter taken with scepticism in Chechnya

After the show in Paris of the clothes of the "Firdaus" Fashion House, headed by Aishat Kadyrova, Ramzan Kadyrov awarded his daughter the medal "For Merits to the Chechen Republic". Some residents of Chechnya have doubted the justification of the award.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that French-speaking Facebook users had ridiculed the fashion show by Kadyrov's daughter, calling it "the dictatorship's luxury." In their turn, some Instagram users supported Aishat Kadyrova, explaining the claims against her with envy.

"Aishat Kadyrova was marked for her actions of promoting the Chechen culture," an official of the office of the head and government of Chechnya has explained.

"The 'Firdaws' Fashion House is popularizing, around the world, our traditions and revealing the unique image of a Chechen woman - a modest but proud and mysterious," the website of the administration of the head and government of Chechnya is quoting Kadyrov as stating.

"The medal 'For Merits' should be awarded for outstanding achievements in various fields. I don't treat the show staged by the 'Firdaus' in Paris as an outstanding achievement," Salavdi, a local resident, believes.

Let us remind you that on March 8, 2018, Ramzan Kadyrov's mother and wife received the Order of "Honour of the Fatherland", established just a week before.
