NKR counts 190 shelling attacks within week

Since February 16, Azerbaijani soldiers fired about 1800 shots at the positions of the Defence Army, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) has stated today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 9-15, the NKR recorded 120 shelling attacks on its positions by Azerbaijan.

"On February 16-22, the Azerbaijani party violated the ceasefire on the contact line of the armed forces of the Republic of Artsakh (the historical name of the NKR, – note of the "Caucasian Knot") and Azerbaijan for more than 190 times, having fired about 1800 shots from small arms in the direction of Armenian positions," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has delivered the message of the NKR's MoD.

As of 12:27 a.m. Moscow time on February 22, the Azerbaijani MoD did not post any comments to this statement on its website. Moreover, according to the estimates of the "Caucasian Knot", on February 16-22, Azerbaijan claimed 164 ceasefire violations in the Karabakh conflict zone and on the border with Armenia. Thus, on February 21-22, there were 22 shelling attacks, the Azerbaijani MoD has reported.
