In their turn, the police have launched a check of the girl's complaints about received threats. On January 29, the North-Ossetian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported that policemen had held prophylactic conversation with the three young men, who had videoed the girl's apologies for the dance.

On January 28, Anna Kabisova, a journalist, and Alena Ramonova, a psychologist, initiated a flash mob with the hashtag #I'm_not_ideal_dancer aiming to support the girl.

The female student of the Vladikavkaz Lyceum, whose name was not disclosed for safety reasons, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent on January 31 that the threats against her had stopped.

"All is over for me ... Yes, I wrote an application [to law enforcement bodies] ... No criminal case was opened on my initiative," she said.
