Azerbaijan accuses Armenia of shelling attacks on border villages
The positions of the Azerbaijani troops in two villages on the border with Armenia and in the Karabakh conflict zone were shelled 22 times within 24 hours, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan reports.
The positions of the Azerbaijani army were shelled, including from heavy machine guns and sniper rifles, the Azerbaijani MoD reported.
According to the Azerbaijani MoD, the fire came both from the "Noyemberyan and Berd Districts" of Armenia and from the territories controlled by the authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh.
"The the positions of the Azerbaijani troops were shelled in the village of Gyzylgadjyly and at nameless heights in the Gazakh District, in the village of Mundjuglu in the Tovuz District, and at nameless heights in the territory of the Gadabay District," the Azerbaijani MoD reports on its official website.
