Kadyrov touches on the topic of his departure after sick leave
Ramzan Kadyrov is back at work after his sick-leave and reacted to publications about his resignation and possible new appointment.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 13, Kadyrov appointed Muslim Khuchiev, the chairman of the government, as acting head of Chechnya. On January 20, Kadyrov spoke for the first time in Grozny after his week-long absence; he outlined his career plans.
The 43-year-old Ramzan Kadyrov, one of the youngest heads of Russian regions, took a sick-leave for the third time in 11 months.
In his Telegram channel, Kadyrov has refuted the rumours about his possible appointment to another post.
According to Evgeny Chernousov, a Moscow lawyer, if the administration of Russian President suspects that the state official’s health allowed him to fulfil his duties, and treats his sick-leave as a violation of official discipline, he may be awarded the incomplete compliance with his position, which in turn may even entail resignation.
The recent Kadyrov’s sick-leave is no threat to his political image, but the new Russian Prime Minister may have questions to the head of Chechnya, political analysts believe.
