Ingush resident killed in shootout of two teips

A conflict over patrimonial towers has turned into a shootout of members of the teips of Evloev and Polonkoev; one person was killed and six were hospitalized, Ingush law enforcement sources have reported.

According to the sources, at night on December 30, a fight broke out in the Sunzha District, and then – a shootout.

"As a result, a 43-year-old man died; six others from both sides were wounded and hospitalized," the RIA "Novosti" quotes one of his sources as saying.

The same information about the casualty and victims was reported today by the "Region Online" with reference to its law enforcement source. According to the edition, the incident occurred at night on December 30 near the "Sunzha" car marketplace. The conflict of the above two teips (family clans) broke out over disputes over the ownership of the "Pyaling" tower complex. Both teips regard their members to be the first settlers in these localities, the edition states.
