Brother of Chechen native convicted in Volzhsky explains his complaint to Kadyrov

The native of Chechnya, who had complained to Ramzan Kadyrov about the unfair prosecution of his compatriots in the Volgograd Region, has posted, after the sentencing, a video message stating that he had appealed to the head of Chechnya "on emotions" and was "misunderstood."

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 27, a court in the city of Volzhsky found several natives of Chechnya guilty of extortions; and Turpal-Ali Djabrailov, a brother of one of the convicts, Rasul Djabrailov, asked Ramzan Kadyrov to defend them. In his video appeal he had claimed that one of the defendants had slandered the others under pressure.

Turpal-Ali Djabrailov has posted a new video message, said the administrator of the Instagram public "About Chechnya and more".

In the posted video, the man speaks the Chechen language, apologizing and taking his words back, the "Kavkaz.Realii" asserts. In particular, the man said that his words had been "misunderstood" and asked "not to distribute the video, which was recorded on emotions."

The convict's brother also asked social network users to refrain from allegations that the Chechen authorities did not help them. "I swear that our representative office in Volgograd helped us. Our authorities are watching so that our detained guys [Chechens] were not tortured or pressured," the "Kavkaz.Realii" quotes a translation of the words of the author of the appeal.
