Georgian citizens detained in South Ossetia released
The authorities of South Ossetia have fined three residents of Georgia for crossing the border; they were detained during firewood logging; and on December 10, they were handed over to the Georgian party.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 7, in the vicinity of the village of Akhmadz of the Leningor District, South-Ossetian border guards detained four Georgian citizens, who were engaged in logging firewood. One minor was released home.
Giorgi Zaridze, Emzar Gamkhitashvili and Merab Gamkhitashvili were released, the "Georgia Online" has reported with reference to the State Security Service (SSS) of Georgia.
Those released were interrogated by the SSS and released after paying the fine, the "Saqinform.ge" reports.
