Azamat Ibragimov returns to Canada from Chechnya
Relatives of Azamat Ibragimov, who disappeared for two weeks during his trip to Chechnya, have met him in Montreal.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Azamat Ibragimov, a native of Chechnya, who came as a guest from Canada and went missing, recorded, a week after his disappearance, a video from a walk along Grozny, in which he urged Chechens living abroad to stop criticizing the republic's authorities. Instagram users and residents of Chechnya suggested that Ibragimov make the video record non-voluntarily. On November 22, Akhmed Dudaev the head of the "Grozny" ChGTRK (Chechen State TV and Radio Company) posted a video with Ibragimov in the social network, in which the off-the-screen voice said that Azamat decided to stay in Chechnya.
The fact that Ibragimov has safely returned to Canada was reported by the "Kavkaz.Realii" with reference to his family friends.
Mairbek Vachagaev, a historian and journalist, who lives in Europe, has confirmed the information about Azamat's return home.
