Deputy chair of "Musavat" Party states falsification of his case

The consideration of the complaint against the arrest of Razim Amiraslanly, Deputy Chairman of the "Musavat" Party, was postponed at the request of his defence, which found falsifications in the protocol of the court session. Amiraslanly treats his case as falsified.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 11, Amiraslanly was summoned to the Baku Police, after which he was out of contact. The party has suggested that his detention had to do with a protest rally in Baku scheduled for November 12. On November 13, it became known that the court had arrested him for 15 days under the article on non-obedience to a policeman's demands.

Arif Gadjily, the head of the "Musavat" Party, who was observing the court session, has noted that Amiraslanly was spirited up despite his illegal arrest.

"The charge put forward against Razim Amiraslanly is something from the realm of fiction. The police claim that he swore obscenely at the departing bus. This is an openly politically motivated case," Mr Gadjily has stated.
