Alikhan Oskanov, a native of Ingushetia, was released after interrogation in Moscow. Suspicions of his involvement in Ibragim Eldjarkiev's murder have not confirmed.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported, referring to sources, that investigators had identified the main suspect in killing Ibragim Eldjarkiev, who is now being searched for in Ingushetia, since the 46-year-old man had already left Moscow in a bus heading for Dagestan. The suspect is a member of the influential religious community of Batal-Hadji supporters; he is known as Kolya, and his surname is Kartoev, a source asserts. Also on November 6, a message appeared about the detention in Moscow of Alikhan Oskanov, suspected of involvement in the double murder of Eldjarkievs.
On November 2, Ibragim Eldjarkiev was shot dead in Moscow. His brother Akhmed Eldjarkiev, a doctor at a Moscow hospital, also died. Policemen check nine people for involvement in the murder.
Alikhan Oskanov, whom several sources called to be an alleged accomplice in the murder of Eldjarkiev, was released after interrogation.
Oskanov, who lives and works in Moscow, was initially detained as a witness, according to one of the sources. "FSB agents have released Alikhan Oskanov after interrogation. [...] They found out that he had nothing to do with the attack; and after checking his documents, he was set free. His relatives said he was already at home," the Telegram channel "Mash" has written.
