Chechen official remains supervisor of district after criticism from Ramzan Kadyrov
Magomed Daudov, whom the leader of Chechnya dismissed from office as a supervisor of a territorial sector for his inability to solve problems in the Kurchaloi District, reports that he is still in charge of the Shali District. The Chechen TV Channel declared the Shali District to be a separate sector, and that fact surprised local residents.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 16, Ramzan Kadyrov for the first time publicly criticized Magomed Daudov for his unsatisfactory activities as a curator of the sector, which included the Kurchaloi and Shali Districts. The criticism was provoked by the fact that Magomed Daudov admitted his inability to solve problems with gas supply in the Kurchaloi District.
On October 30, the "Grozny" TV Channel released a story about a meeting which Magomed Daudov held at the administration of the Shali District as a supervisor.
Some residents of Chechnya found unexpected the return to Magomed Daudov of the status of sector supervisor. "It turns out that Ramzan Kadyrov simply divided the sector into two, and one of them remained under the supervision of Magomed Daudov," noted Abubakar, a member of an NGO.
"Earlier, Ramzan Kadyrov has never criticized Magomed Daudov in public, rather, on the contrary, he always noted his merits. Meanwhile, here, the official was criticized and dismissed from supervision. Apparently, everything ended well for Magomed Daudov, since he remained in charge of the previous, albeit somewhat reduced, sector," said Idris, a local resident.
