A check of documents after the Friday namaz (prayer) at the "Tangim" Mosque in Makhachkala passed without detentions. Three mobile posts with dozens of law enforcers were deployed in the mosque area.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that law enforcers are regularly conducting their Friday raids in the vicinity of the "Tangim" Mosque, which has resulted in a decrease of the number of worshipers, a mosque source has reported.

On Friday, October 25, about 50 law enforcers were stopping the cars departing from the mosque and recorded drivers' personal data, the journalist, Idris Yusupov, who was watching what was happening, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. According to his story, law enforcers deployed three mobile posts. Mr Yusupov didn't fix any detentions.

The Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that there were no detainees or persons taken to police stations during the raids. "Ensuring public order in crowded places," the MIA's press service explained the aim of the raids.
