Tumso Abdurakhmanov's followers find his criticism of Sufi rites inappropriate
Criticism of the Sufism will be a pretext for a new attack of the authorities on blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov, believe some participants of discussions in social networks. Other Internet users noted that earlier, no people professing Sufism had been among the blogger's audience anyway.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov criticized Salakh-khadji Mezhiev, Mufti of Chechnya, for his commitment to the rites of zikr and mawlid widespread in the republic. When responding to criticism of own followers, Tumso Abdurakhmanov sharply criticized the Sufis and said that supporters of new rites are worse for him than drunkards and drug addicts. The blogger violated the rules of a religious dispute and pushed some supporters away from him, believe Islamic scholars interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot".
Earlier, people professing Sufism also did not support Tumso Abdurakhmanov, and their attitude to the blogger would not seriously affect his popularity, note Instagram users while commenting on the post of the religious dispute on the "Caucasian Knot" page.
"In fact, the Sufis have never been his followers," wrote user zz95.zz. "Tumso Abdurakhmanov hasn't lost anything. Whoever follows and supports him is already against mawlids and zikrs," noted gasan.71.
Tumso Abdurakhmanov should not have raised religious topics while debating with the authorities of Chechnya, believes Nestr Petrovich. "It's your mistake, Tumso, that you've raised the topic. Now they will extend it: you've opened the second front for them," the user wrote.
Let us remind you that in response to the Tumso Abdurakhmanov's statements about the Sufism, the Mufti cursed him at a Friday sermon in the "Heart of Chechnya", a central mosque of Grozny.
