Registration of NCOs will continue after the re-registration deadline

Registration of foreign-based non-commercial organizations (NCOs) will continue after expiry of the final term for re-registration, Natalia Vishnyakova, Director of the Department for Control, Organization and Audit of the Ministry of Justice, told the press conference.

According to her, under the Law on Non-Commercial Organizations (NCOs) that entered into its force on April 18, 2006, all the representative offices of foreign-based NCOs, operating in the territory of Russia, shall submit, within a six-month term, their re-registration notifications. The deadline to do this is October 18 this year.

Meanwhile, foreign NCOs are not in a haste submitting their re-registration documents into the Registration Service; a total of 80 foreign-based non-commercial organizations are on the State Registry. An NCO's notification shall be accompanied by five documents, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
