Author of book "Brides of Allah" detained in Tehran
Russian journalist Yulia Yuzik, an author of books "Brides of Allah" and "Beslan Dictionary", was detained in the Iranian capital on suspicion of collaborating with Israeli secret services.
"On the eve, agents of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps broke a door in the Yulia's hotel room and took her away with them ... The journalist is accused of collaborating with the Israeli secret services. She faces at least 10 years of imprisonment," journalist Boris Voitsekhovski reported on his Facebook page.
Yulia Yuzik is an author of the books on the terror act in Beslan ("Beslan Dictionary") and North-Caucasian female suicide bombers ("Brides of Allah"), the "Mediazona" reports.
Oge Borkgreving, an adviser to the Norwegian Helsinki Committee, said the book "Brides of Allah" describing the fate of young women who participated in the terror acts in 2000-2003 "distorted the picture of the conflict in Chechnya and the Chechen society."
According to him, the Yulia Yuzik's "conspiratorial thought" that Islamist terrorists collaborate with human rights organizations and Western intelligence services to blow up Russia is a consequence of her collaboration with the FSB.
