Arrested Georgian activist Levan Djikuri transferred to hospital
Levan Djikuri, who was detained in a case on June protests, was transferred to a hospital. This was reported on September 25 by Elene Khoshtariya, an MP from the "European Georgia-Freedom Movement" Party, who visited the Gldani prison.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the period from July 6 to 26, 19 activists were detained and accused of using violence during the protests. The Prosecutor's Office classified the detainees' acts as an attempt to overthrow the government. On August 29, activist Levan Djikuri, detained on the charge of involvement in the riots, refused to accept food and notified the prison administration of starting a hunger strike.
Elene Khoshtariya, an MP from the "European Georgia-Freedom Movement" Party, visited in the Gldani penitentiary institution No. 8 the people detained in the case on the June protests. Elene Khoshtariya reported she was unable to meet Levan Djikuri, one of the persons, detained on the charge of involvement in the riots, since he was transferred to a hospital, the "Georgia Online" reported on September 25.
The MP managed to meet 10 prisoners at the Gldani penitentiary institution No. 8. Their health state is satisfactory, and they face no complications with the conditions of detention, notes Elene Khoshtariya.
