Residents of South Ossetia are against new rules of exporting cars to Russia
Car owners with South-Ossetian license number plates held a rally at the "Nizhny Zaramag" checkpoint, telling that because of the new rules of exporting cars, they have to go to Russia by taxi.
The rally was held on September 15. The protesters were unhappy with the new rules for crossing the Russian border by car, the "Ossetia-Iryston" TV Company reports. According to drivers, many have to leave their cars in South Ossetia and go to Vladikavkaz by taxi.
According to the protesters, problems mainly arise for those who travel to Russia to work there.
The press service of the North-Ossetian customs has denied problems with the export of cars across the border.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in January 2016, the South-Ossetian Customs Committee promised to help the entrepreneurs, who have problems with transporting their goods from Russia, with the necessary paperwork.
