Gukovo miners distrust promises to pay debts
The bankruptcy manager has assured that in October, after the sale of underground courses, money will appear to pay off the wage debts to former workers of the "Kingcoal" Company, Tatiana Avachova, a member of the protest group, said at a picket in Gukovo. The picketers noted that this was not the first such promise.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that during three years, former miners of the "Kingcoal" Company have been regularly holding pickets, demanding payment of wage debts and issuance of the ration coal.
On September 14, 36 former "Kingcoal" workers came to a picket held near the Culture House of the "Rostovskaya" Mine in Gukovo, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, who also attended the picket, has reported.
Tatiana Avachova, a member of the initiative group, told the picketers that Roman Kopets, the bankruptcy manager, promised to pay off the wage debts in October out of the money received from the sale of underground courses. Ms Avachova noted that the courses had not been sold yet, but Mr Kopets was sure that this would happen.
Those present were sceptical of this news. Roman Kopets already promised to sell the courses in August, then in September, but there was no buyer, the protesters have noted.
