Observers report election violations in NKR
At some polling stations in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), crowds of voters were observed; attempts were recorded to vote on inappropriate documents and violations of the secrecy of the vote, observers inform.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 8, elections to bodies of local self-government were held in the NKR.
The NGO "Union of Informed Citizens" has reported a number of election violations in its Facebook page.
In particular, observers have noted that at some polling stations people were crowding; however, the problem was settled by members of election commissions. According to the "Union", five polling stations lacked the necessary information for voting; at ten stations voting booths were installed in such a way that the secrecy of the vote was violated.
The observation mission "Witness", created by the NGOs "Transparency International", "Asparez Journalists' Club" and the "Restart" Public Initiative, also reported election violations in Stepanakert in its Facebook page.
According to the mission, at a number of polling stations, there were problems with ballot boxes; attempts were fixed to vote on invalid documents, as well as violations of the secrecy of the voting. Besides, outsiders (strangers) were present at some stations.
