Ramzan Kadyrov expands list of recipients of his threats

On August 29, Ramzan Kadyrov threatened to "bring to responsibility under the law" not only his opponents on social networks, but also those who disseminated their criticism of the Chechen authorities. Meanwhile, the leader of the republic called on people not to respond to messages posted on social networks.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 21, in his video appeal, Gadjimurad Isabekov, a resident of Makhachkala, voiced a challenge to Ramzan Kadyrov because of his statement about Imam Shamil. Today, a new video of Gadjimurad Isabekov has appeared in social networks with an apology to Ramzan Kadyrov.

The statements of Ramzan Kadyrov, who accused Imam Shamil of repressions against Chechens, provoked protests of residents of Dagestan and users of social networks.

In the video "Ramzan Kadyrov about the so called 'button heroes'" posted on the YouTube channel of the "Chechnya Today" news agency, the leader of Chechnya criticized users of social networks who hided themselves under nicknames and spread false information.

"Some 'button heroes' write on social networks whatever they want about the Chechen authorities ... Then, when they are found and asked to provide evidence of what they had written on the Internet, they begin to cry and retract their words," Ramzan Kadyrov said.

The leader of the republic also criticized those who "disseminated similar posts, but also had absolutely no confirmation of the information."

Earlier, in a dispute about Imam Shamil, Ramzan Kadyrov has also voiced threats against his opponents. Those statements exacerbate the confrontation between Chechen and Dagestani people and are unacceptable for the leader of the region, residents of Chechnya say.
