At action in Tbilisi, Russians support Georgia's integrity

Citizens of Russia, who gathered in Tbilisi, have condemned the authorities of their country for the Georgia's loss of control over Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that hundreds of residents of South Ossetia and Georgia took part in the events dedicated to the 11th anniversary of the August 2008 conflict.

The today's picket outside the Russian Embassy in Tbilisi was held to support Georgia's sovereignty and integrity, said Yegor Kuroptev, a co-organizer of the action, who is also a regional representative of the "Free Russia" Foundation in the Caucasus.

Seven people took part in the action. Mr Kuroptev has noted that the action "We Remember" was also held in front of the buildings of Russian Embassies in Washington, Prague, Vilnius and Kiev.

Andrei Nikolaev, a participant in the action, a businessman from Moscow, has noted that the Georgia's loss of 20% of its territory was the first reason for him to doubt the policy of the Russian authorities. In his opinion, this policy poses a threat to other countries.
