Governments of North-Caucasian republics are recognized as most closed in Russia

The official portal of the government of the Rostov Region was the most open for users, while the websites of the authorities of Chechnya, Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria and Ingushetia took the last places in the rating of the "Infometr" Project Centre.

Based on its annual rating, on August 1, the "Infometr" published its report "Openness of Regional Executive Bodies in Russia-2019" on its website.

Experts evaluated the websites based on the information posted on them about what services and information they provided, how to get services or information, the possibilities to receive them online, or to track the provision of information and services, as well as the ability to evaluate the work of the regional government.

The leader of the rating-2019 is the government of the Rostov Region; its openness rate is 100%. The last, 84th place in the rating is occupied by the Government of Ingushetia – its openness indicator is 14.481%.

Things are slightly better in Kabardino-Balkaria and Dagestan (portals of their governments occupy the 83rd and 82nd places with the openness indicators of 23.690% and 21.099%, respectively). The website of the Chechen government took the 81st place with 23.728%, while the website of the government of Kalmykia – the 80th place with 26.717%, and Karachay-Cherkessia – the 79th place with 28.986%. These regions proved to be the most closed ones.
