Gukovo picketers raise money for trip to Moscow

On June 2, the participants in the picket held in the city of Gukovo raised money to go to Moscow, where several miners plan to hold protest actions. Some residents expressed their disappointment with the results of actions and refused to come to pickets in the future.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Gukovo miners are regularly holding pickets demanding payment of wage debts and issuance of the due ration coal for heating their houses.

On June 2, 2019, about 40 people held a picket near the Culture House of the Rostovskaya Mine in Gukovo. Disappointment is noticed among picketers: at the recent meeting with the minister at the administration, it was announced that they would not give out humanitarian coal to Gukovo miners; but many them went out to pickets only because of coal, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports from the venue.

However, some picketers have supported the trip to Moscow and raised money for activists' travel. They intend to reach Moscow by hitchhiking, and cover a part of the way on foot.
