Two residents of Georgian border village released in South Ossetia

Vasily Patarkatsishvili and Dmitry Izergishvili, residents of the Kvemo Chugali village, located on the border with South Ossetia, were released, the State Security Service of Georgia reported.

35-year-old Vasily Patarkatsishvili and 49-year-old Dmitry Izergishvili, residents of the Kvemo Chugali village, were detained on the outskirts of the village of Karapila with the line of demarcation with South Ossetia. According to the State Security Service of Georgia, law enforcers of South Ossetia accused the detainees of crossing the border illegally.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 7, South Ossetian law enforcers handed over to Georgia Amiran Meladze, a resident of the Kveshi village, detained on suspicion of crossing the border illegally.

At the same time, the KGB of South Ossetia released a warning about the strengthening of the border regime in May.
