Azerbaijan counts 27 shelling attacks in the conflict zone

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated today that four pre-border villages got under fire, when opponents were shelling the Azerbaijani Army units in the Karabakh conflict zone.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the parties in conflict are regularly reporting on truce violations. Thus, on May 8, the MoD of Azerbaijan announced shelling of three pre-border villages, and the day before, the MoD counted 24 shelling attacks in the conflict zone. In its turn, Nagorno-Karabakh informed about 250 attacks on its positions committed during the week from April 28 to May 4.

"During the last 24 hours, units of the Armenian Armed Forces violated the ceasefire regime in different sections of the frontline for 27 times," the Azerbaijani MoD has reported on its website today.

According to the MoD, the positions of the Azerbaijani Army stationed in the village of Gyzylgadjyly, Gazakh District, in the villages of Gadzhally and Kokhanebi, Tovuz District, and in the village of Geyali, Gadabay District, came under fire. The fire was delivered both from Armenia and from the territories that Azerbaijan treats as its occupied ones, states the message.

As of 9:30 a.m. Moscow time today, no comments on the above statement of the Azerbaijani MoD had appeared on the websites of the MoDs of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.
