Azerbaijan accuses Armenia of using machine guns
The units of the Armed Forces of Armenia have violated the ceasefire regime for 24 times by using large-calibre machine guns, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has reported.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 30, Azerbaijan accused Armenia of intense shelling attacks. The Armenian MoD, in its turn, has stated that a contract serviceman was seriously wounded by shelling from the Azerbaijani side.
In the period from April 30 to May 1, 2019, positions of the Azerbaijani Army stationed in the village of Gaimagly and on the nameless heights of the Gazakh District came under fire, according to the website of the Azerbaijani MoD.
A truce in the Karabakh conflict zone was announced after the escalation of hostilities in April 2016. However, it did not stop the confrontation of the parties; shelling attacks on the contact line of troops are recorded every day.
