Daudov and Abdurakhmanov dispute about Aslan Maskhadov's Russian passport

Magomed Daudov, the Speaker of the Chechen Parliament, has entered a remote dispute with the blogger, Tumso Abdurakhmanov, and supported Ramzan Kadyrov's opinion.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that top-ranking Chechen officials held a discussion with blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov. On March 9, Magomed Daudov, Speaker of the Chechen parliament, announced blood feud against the blogger for his statement about Akhmat Kadyrov.

A new round of online dispute of the Chechen official and the blogger has touched upon the citizenship of Aslan Maskhadov, the president of the unrecognized Chechen Republic of Ichkeria.

On April 18, Tumso Abdurakhmanov posted a video in his YouTube channel, citing a conversation of Ramzan Kadyrov with a former Maskhadov's security. In the video, Ramzan Kadyrov phoned Shaa Turlaev and asked him about the documents used by the leadership of Ichkeria to travel abroad and whether Russian exit stamps were put in their passports.

During the conversation, Ramzan Kadyrov's interlocutor confirmed that he had travelled with Aslan Maskhadov to London and the USA, and they had Russian passports.

In his video, Tumso Abdurakhmanov doubted Turlaev's words and asked Anzor Maskhadov, Aslan Maskhadov's son to tell him about the passport his father had used to travel abroad. Anzor showed his father's Soviet passport and stated that his father had never been a Russian citizen.

On April 19, Magomed Daudov's video response to Tumso Abdurakhmanov was posted on the YouTube channel of the "Chechnya Today" News Agency.

In his answer, Magomed Daudov told the blogger that Aslan Maskhadov's passport was issued by the Russian visa service on March 21, 1993, was valid until March 21, 1998, and was used by him to move around the world as a citizen of the Russian Federation.

This response triggered Abdurakhmanov's reaction, who in a video dated April 21 criticized Daudov and demanded to show the Maskhadov's Russian passport with visas evidencing crossings of other countries' borders.

Chechen officials have failed to provide proofs that Aslan Maskhadov, the president of the unrecognized Ichkeria, had used a Russian passport, the blogger has concluded.
