Dagestani militant's bride denies abduction
Miyasat Kitalaeva, a resident of Makhachkala, accused of involvement in the armed underground and kidnappings, was kept by militants in the forest against her will, and didn't join their regiment, her defence insists.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that this February, Miyasat's case was brought to the court. According to investigators, in February 2016, she joined a unit of the "Islamic State" (IS, earlier ISIL, a terrorist organization banned in Russia by the court) and participated in kidnapping of two residents of the village of Djuli.
According to investigators, the girl's duties included the arranging and guarding the militants' dugout; she also cleaned weapons and had to warn terrorists about law enforcers' appearance.
According to her advocate, Kitalaeva got acquainted through the Internet with a young man who invited her to marry him. She agreed to meet him, but the bridegroom took her to militants in the forest. She was held there so that she couldn't tell about the preparation of the attack on Djuli village. "After the attack, bandits let Kitalaeva go home. She returned to her parents and lived for two years with them, taking care for her sick older brother," explained the advocate.
