Policemen attacked in KBR

A car driver opened fire on the policemen, who stopped him to check documents in the Baksan District of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR). The shooter managed to escape, a source said.

The incident occurred in the morning on April 2 in the city of Baksan. Policemen stopped a car for inspection, but the driver opened fire on them, the RIA "Novosti" reports citing its law enforcement source.

The policemen did not suffer; now, the attacker is being searched for, the "Interfax-South" reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 24, in Nalchik, DPS (road-and-patrol service) inspectors were attacked. One of them was stabbed and died. On February 6, he was buried with military honours in his native village.
