Evkurov accuses Ingush protest leaders of irresponsibility

Organizers of protest actions in Ingushetia provoked youth to violate the law and escaped responsibility, said the head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Evkurov, at a meeting with Akhmed Dzeitov, the secretary of the republic's Security Council.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 26, residents of Ingushetia, demanding the resignation of Yunus-Bek Evkurov, extended the protest action in the square in Magas without sanction from the authorities and that led to clashes with law enforcers on the other day. After the authorities promised to sanction a new rally in five days, the protest leaders persuaded their supporters to leave the square.

Meanwhile, on March 27, the protesters gathered at the entrance to Nazran and blocked the "Caucasus" federal highway near the Ekazhevo circle. In the evening, the protesters agreed to unblock the highway and headed for the mosque.

The authorities of Ingushetia met the protesters' demands and sanctioned a rally in Magas, but the organizers of the rally violated the regulations, Evkurov said at the meeting with Akhmed Dzeitov.

According to his story, the situation can get out of control, if young people succumb to "loud slogans."

"The organizers of the protest brought out the youth, but now they wouldn't take responsibility. It turns out that they have nothing to do with what happened. It's good that there were no serious consequences. The desire to attract more people and to realize their ambitions has moved the understanding that people may suffer to the background," says the statement published in Evkurov's page on the Instagram.

Instagram users, while commenting on Evkurov's post, called on the head of the republic to seek a compromise with the opposition.

"If blood is shed, it will be an irreparable mistake," wrote the user aydaeva.m. "At the rally, there were not a handful of people, but almost all the youth and the elders!!!" the user _______ a_d_a_m _______ has noted.
