Security at risk for Nagorno-Karabakh - newspaper editor

In the opinion of Murad Petrosian, editor of the Nagorno-Karabakh newspaper What Is to be Done, war is inevitable unless the West makes Armenia return the occupied districts around Nagorno-Karabakh to Azerbaijan. If it does, the state of neither war nor peace will last, but Nagorno-Karabakh's positions will weaken to a minimum level.

"The developments worldwide are leading to weakening of the moral and psychological positions of the West, ferment of its public consciousness and growing numbers of uncontrollable hotspots around the globe that further develop into 'big fires'... All this results in that the security threat to Nagorno-Karabakh grows by several orders of magnitude and, roughly speaking, the price previously quoted for the republic by the world community is decreasing," Mr Petrosian said.
